working"? and text scrolling on HB "The PEC sensors are not responding" anyone
come across this? any help on tips to maybe overcome this would be greatly
appreciated.
thanks again

Mark

Sounds like a broken wire on a Hall effect sensor on one of the worm drive assemblies.

Chris,
I opened up the bottom of base and I saw the worm gear with a small magnet set in the shaft and a small black sensor with 3 wires connected to it mounted just above the shaft and I can see how the magnet would rotate just under this sensor, is this the RA sensor? Though I checked all wires but not sure where or which wire I should look for but all seem to look fine...maybe I'm over looking something. thanks

Mark

There is an identical sensor setup in the DEC arm and you need to check that as well.

Chris,

Well you called it. it was the black hall sensor wire closest to the sensor which had pulled itself somewhat loose. Not sure if it was broken. I did not want to pull the sensor off but I did push it back in its place and secured it with a spot of glue from a glue gun and now it works fine. Thanks

Mark
