I'm not going again this year, but I wish I were!!!
I need to keep working on making mirrors so I can gradually build up to making my own 1-meter mirror!

Yes, there are 6 of us, although I'm not certain that all 6 will be at the mirror making, there should be 4 of us there.

No problem, I'll keep you guys posted. I'll more than likely start a separate thread. Is anyone planning on at least stopping by the event?

Yes. I plan to be there. I, too, will be interested in not only the blanks, but f/3.

I'm planning to go and work on a couple smaller mirrors for a change. I have an 8" quartz f/7 in progress that hopefully will be polished in time, plus another 8" that has some weird surface contamination that I'll try to get rid of.
It will be great to see the slumped mirror activities.

This will be my first time out. I am totally new to mirror making. I have a GSO 8" F6 mirror that needs some help, so I will be bringing that.
In fact, I'm toying with the idea of getting a 10" GSO dob and bringing the F5 mirror from that as well. Would it be possible to assess both mirrors at the beginning of the session, and then choose the more,um, interesting one to work on and finish?

Yes. You can assess and then choose. It would be good to let the instructors know your plans so that they have tools available for your two options.

I was there last year and completed a 10" F5.5. It turned out real good and I was very happy with it. Delmarva Mirror Making Group are a real bunch of nice people, great experience and I will be back next year to finish a 12.5" mirror I started 30 years ago.
