Thought people might enjoy a couple of early (and extremely cool) videos of the meteorite that apparently airburst over Russia.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIMKQihoYRI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qch-pIEgf44&feature=player_embedded#!
Edit - It doesn't appear to exploded after all, despite the headlines and the bright flash. Apparently what's on the videos is the shockwave from its flight path. Crazy.

Thanks for sharing! There's always the speculation of its connection with 2012-DA14 Still, watching the various dash cams and security cams coming out of Russia, I have to say it's quite a somber reminder of the cosmic billiard game that we're right in the middle of ...
wow , check out this on the ground video footage of the shockwave blasting out windows!

Nice video. These are easily the best meteor/meteorite videos I've ever seen, and I'm sure there's many more to come. And it's probably the most significant event to occur in a long time. Very exciting, but hopefully nobody was seriously injured or killed. I know they're saying a section of roof collapsed at a factory, I think.

I've seen a few reports of that, but we all know it didn't happen. I'm willing to bet that is just random speculation from people.
Here is another video that's a compilation. The moving shadows on two of them towards the end look like time lapse videos. Amazing.

Edit - So as to not multipost, here is a blog with a lot of photos and videos. Some hoaxes have been appearing (like the flaming pit), so just be aware.

Russia's Emergency ministry said some fragments fell near the town of Satka, about 200 kilometers (120 miles) from the regional capital city of Chelyabinsk. About 60 people were wounded by meteorite fragments...

Phenominal video footage. By far the best i have ever saw. I just hope the injuries were not severe and everyone is ok. Who's up for fragment recovery?

I so wish I was there to experience that, even if it would have meant getting injured with flying glass or something. And I would so definitely be out there trying to collect if I was in the area and able.
I'm looking forward to hearing the expert analysis of this thing once the video footage has been digested and samples collected. It really could provide a lot of good observational information regarding this type of thing.

According to that article they've already found 3 craters! I wonder how many of the meteorite hunters are already on a flight there?

I'd certainly love a sample of that one!!! Wonder how strict the laws are in Russia, for meteorite hunters?

6 meter wide crater on the Chebarkul lake in Chelyabinsk region... the ice wasn't thick enough to hold the 30 cm fragment
In 2008 we had more luck with the Buzzard Coulée fragments in Canada: http://skyriver.ca/astro/bruce/meteorite.htm
