a nova, OC & PN in Cep new
      #5680648 - 02/15/13 03:38 AM

Got news of a nova [discovered 10 days ago] in Cepheus last Friday at London Astrofest and last night first clear night to try for it below. My Nova Cep 2013 shot records ~m11.2[R] but advised that AAVSO says it's faded to ~m13[V].

Homed-in on the nova via goto to nearby NGC 7510 - a pretty chain-like OC. Finally a revisit to one of my favourites in Cep - the red hydrogen emitting Bowtie PN NGC 40. Hope this of interest to forum

Nytecam, your images of NGC 7510 and NGC 40 are quite impressive. Thanks for the views.
