It's got a high angle if illumination but the success in the image is that you've gotten enough contrast that the sculptural quality is still presenting a convincing 3d impression. A lesser image would have it appearing flat. The others are great but those are my favorites. Bold of you to image the high and angle sunlit regions, but you walked off with the prize for your efforts. You be got a winner setup. Pete Ps: langrenus is superb too but I've always liked Petavius " road to the central city" spanning out like a radi to the craters edge. The "o" is supposed to have 2 dots, not sure how to get that out of my keyboard... Not sure I will get much if I barlow from there. My tracking is still not good enough to capture the requisite frames at longer FL. Working on that, along with improving image processing. It an ongoing learning experience, but with great rewards (to me). The most important thing I've learned in capturing thus far is to fill the histogram. Now if I could understand the dynamics of gain, various formats, pixel design, etc. I have resisted moving to a filter wheel until I can improve my tracking enough for the sequential captures, but not sure this applies much to lunar. Bottom line is I love it and have a supportive spouse.
