Site says shipping in March 2013 web page
Looks really good based on the specs and photo. Plenty of adapters included. Helical non-rotating focuser. I am guessing it has independent camera and oag rotation (3 thumb screws). Price is good.

Although I am a fan of the Big C's main components (ota's, mounts, ep's,) I don't recommend this accessory for that price. I had their "simpler" OAG and found it impossible to use and of cheap construction. Look for a better unit perhaps used. I now have the Taurus Tracker III and it is a marvel to behold. Michael

Michael, are you referring to the older celestron OAG? This one looks vastly improved with useful features, but too early for any user reports. The Taurus tracker is not sold anymore. The better OAG's are all very steeply priced (Hutech/Moag). If the features on this one work as advertised, it will be a pretty good option.

Does anyone know what happened to Taurus-Technologies? They had a great product. Michael

I actually expected C to come with an Adpative Optics (as a guider, i.e : OAG + reactive quasi flat lens), since their new OAG seems so well built. Also, in the Orion web site, the AO units are in clearance. So there will be no AO available soon, unless Orion is preparing for a new one?
