Favorite Winter and Spring Objects

Well, I got some double and lunar time in tonight and I got some open cluster work on Friday with a few other objects once the moon went down. Besides that I can't buy a clear sky at new moon.

So I thought I would start what I hope is a fun thread and one that some might find beneficial . So what are your favorite winter objects to observe and include deep sky, double, or other items? Same for spring since it seems that spring is just around the corner and maybe it might be nicer to us in terms of observing at new moon.

NGC 2244 OC and the Rosette Nebula
Copeland's Coil in M50
NGC 2264 The Christmas Tree OC
NGC 2359 Thor's Helment
NGC 2371/72 PN in Gemni
Abell 21 PN in Gemni
The NGC Galaxies in Messier 44
NGC 2683 Glxy in Lynx
Jones-Emberson 1 PN in Lynx (I call it the winter Helix)
Omicron2 Eridani double (white dwarf)
beta Orionis (Rigel) double
beta Monocerotis wonderful triple
h3945 Canis Majoris the winter Alberio (blue and gold)
alpha Geminorum (Castor) an easier split now than in the past

I've left off most of the candy items in winter and there are tons more to be added. I'll put my spring ones in latter. Feel free to post eye candy, common objects or wonderful less known objects or hard to find objects of any kind.

I'm definitely going to have to add NGC 2362, the Tau Canis Majoris cluster, to the list. Probably one of my favorite winter clusters. It's stunning through my 12-inch Dob.

No Orion nebula or is that too obvious?

I have a small refractor...
Love M46 and M47 in the same field.
Gamma Virginis
Omega if you can catch it
NGC 7789
Double cluster

I'm sure the big scope folks have fainter targets

No, Alvan, M42 is the best object out there! Any time that I observe and Orion is up, I always spend time viewing it. It's just amazing in just about any telescope.

And I'll add the Intergalactic Wanderer just because the name is so cool.
