What software were you using?
Tonight was to be the first light with PHD as an autoguider, but failed due to software (noth Ascom and WDM). I had downloaded what were supposedly the latest off their home page.

I would like to know this too since it is not a web cam how do you re-direct the image as a webcam for NSN?
What software were you using to capture that image and tweak settings? How long of a live or nearly live exposure can you go?

Thanks for your answer.
I'll set it to use the ST-4 output.
I was getting an Ascom error message, paraphrased "you are using 64 bit software but the driver is 32 bit". I did see PHD listed the camera, but it froze the computer as soon as I chose it from the drop down menu. I came in and loaded everything fresh on a computer in the house. The camera worked with the Planet viewer that you're showing in the top post.
Late Edit:
Thanks again for your help. AP1200QMD and QHY EZP works with Ascom driver. Leave well enough alone.

So how sensitive is this proving to be as an autoguider? And running with PHD, did anyone manage to get this running with ST-4 output with windows 7? The price looks attractive, but I don't want to get stuck with an expensive mistake.

As for sensitivity, see the attached pic. One Second with a TV-76, single shot, used DSS to convert from Tiff. As you'll note, I have the B&W version.
As for ST-4 guiding, It could be me but everything else I use is Ascom, so once PHD/Ascom locked on and worked, left it alone.
As for recording, I can easily record a movie in Avi, and a single shot in JPG with the 64 bit computer in the house, but the old 32 bit in the Obs won't. Don't know why yet.

Bob, is there a color balance adjustment on the software as your moons are a little red? The original Orion starshoot used to be red and couldn't be adjusted until the images were processed.

Thanks for the photo. That was quite helpful. I'm torn between getting this and the ST-i.
