Bardsey Island dark skies bid new
      #5688444 - 02/19/13 08:14 AM

A nice artical featuring a family that regularly post images on the DLSR imaging forum here on CN

"Bardsey Island starry nights prompt 'dark-sky' bid"

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-12570354

Steve - if you read this - whats the current status?

Great article! I hope they are able to secure the dark sky bid! Beautiful, that it's a CN member!

Thanks. What a cool location. Since my ancestry is mostly Scotch, Welsh, and Irish, I also enjoyed the history.

Small, isolated islands may be our best hope for really dark skies. I'm a mountain guy, but mountains draw tourists--millions of them.

Dark skies.

Jack
