The Milky Way new
      #567011 - 08/20/05 05:27 PM Attachment (72 downloads)

Here's an attempt at a densly populated section of the Milky Way, including clusters, nebulosity and a binary star.

Any comments would be appreciated, thanks! And it's best viewed in the dark, as some of the nebulosity is faint.

Thanks James - i'm going to try and do a gas giant photo later tonight, after "Match of the Day 2"

And it seems i'm getting a bit faster at this - each of these 2 photos took me an hour, compared with 3 hours on the planet photos i did. Hopefully i'll be doing a few a day in the future!

Very nicely done!

It really looks an old section of the Milky Way, complete with ruddy red stars.
