operating CG-5 from laptop???

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me connect my celestron CG-5 goto mount to my laptop so I can control it with the laptop. I already have the required cables but I can't seem to get it to "connect" I an using Stellarium.

what cables are you using? USB to serial to the bottom of hand-paddle?
Make sure your USB to serial getting a valid COM port as visible in windows device manager. Are you using this COM port number to connect?
