Extension for Advanced VX?
      #5692509 - 02/21/13 10:46 AM

Anyone know if there is an extension I can place between my tripod and mount head for the AVX? I want to raise the refractor a bit for zenith viewing. I'd prefer something that just bolts on and works (duh), but I am "handy" and can make minor mods if needed.

That last part reminded me of the Red Green Show. "Of the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy!"

There isn't anything yet but I expect there will be soon. Try asking the people who make pier extensions for the CG5.

The CG5 pier extensions won't fit because the azimuth adjuster pin is in a different place.
