Jupiter & Transit of Io...
      #5694127 - 02/22/13 07:44 AM

Greetings all,

Attached are two Jupiter drawings made on the 18th February. Seeing was rather good at times and a number of fine details were observed. These include the following:
-Io was in transit and could be discerned as a brighter spot against the darker SEBz.
-Oval BA seen, slight orange colour present. Transit time gives it a L2~133 degrees.
-A large bright region in the SEBz
-GRS seems to have faded?
-Region following GRS much calmer, or lacking bright white structures seen earlier in apparition
-A number of dark festoons in the EZ
-The NEB contained a number of dark spots and structures.
-The northern edge of NTB dark and irregular.

stopped observing at 2050UT as seeing became to poor to continue.

Best wishes,
-Paul

Just fabulous, Paul! I love the colours and the subtleness which you've drawn the detail with.

Peter
