Wow...that was quick

Wow..on Friday morning, I ordered Turn Left at Orion, and the Sky Atlas 2000, 2nd edition from Amazon.com. No extra shipping options or anything, the estimated delivery date was this Thursday, 8/25.

I get home from work, and the box is sitting on my computer chair!

Woo! Great to come home to!

It’s not finishing something when your tank is empty that makes you a stronger person. It’s brushing yourself off and refacing the foe that defeated you with the same determination and willingness to fight that you had when you began your journey.

Alaska to Dublin, Ireland in only four days (using Media Mail shipping) mightly impressed me last year. Had ordered a book from Title Wave books at www.wavebooks.com . . . really friendly service and chatted on email with one of their staff about the aurora season for a few days. They've got a few nice astronomy books on sale in their online store.

It takes me longer to post a letter to my Dad in Boston from here in ORegon--I'm impressed!
