Another Lunar 100 (number 19) on paper. Most of the Alps is still in de shadow, only the mountaintops are visible. Vallis Alpes is ofcourse the showpiece in this view.

Beautiful Jef! It's a very interesting capture and just s much, presentation. As a kid I thought it looked like a bulldozed swath. I KNEW it wasn't but the impression to this day is irresistible to me. I genuinely appreciate the composition, or motif as it were.

Jef,

Very fine sketching of this interesting region.
The region of Vallis Alpes is technically difficult to sketch in detail and you have an excellent capture here.

I know now I had difficult with sketching all the (small) hills who were not really eye catching in my 8 cm.

Fantastic sketch! Very difficult indeed to draw features on the Moon. This is something I have yet to attempt. You are very skilled and gifted.

Give it a try. It's by moments very frustrating, but it can be very rewarding when you finally manache to make a fine sketch.
