Its been many years since I used one of these mounts and forget how to use the clock drive and this clutch. Any chance anybody has a scanned instruction sheet for this old EDMUND mount. Thanks Bob

The standard Edmund clock drive was used as an example in the old "All About Telescopes" The drive in the pictures looks as if it is assembled incorrectly. The eccentric pin should be between the two posts. Clutch tension is adjusted with the two thumb screws at the back.

Yeh Ive seen those older Edmund mounts but apparently something may be missing. This is the Heavy Duty mount they had for the 8" Reflectors, a little different then the 6" mount I think. See this picture. Cant figure out how to get that pin in a different position. bob

I figured it out had to loosen those two back nuts to move it...see this pict. BTW these photo dates are bogus I dont know how to change the date

This mount is a beast, weigh close to 100lbs. They dont make em like this anymore. It can probably hold my house.. bob
