Just a newbie, everytime I take pictures of planet it ended up just a small blob of light maybe because it is to bright, am using just a point and shoot digital camera , how do you solve this

You have to create a video. Then, use a software program to process video frames in a single image, called aligning and stacking. That same program lets you sharpen the single frame. And, viola'.
This is what I tell people at star parties when they want to take a snap shot through the eye piece, precisely because all you get is a bright blob.
