Stellarvue TD2 vixen dovetail shoe too wide...?

I was experimenting with mounting a SV-TD2 to a TV Gibraltar-5 mount head(holes line up), but was surprised when the SV shoe or saddle would not lock in a AstroTech vixen dovetail bar or a ScopeStuff brand dovetail bar. Both bars required 1mm more of clamping travel.
Would I need a SV Vixen dovetail bar which I presume would be wider or do I have a saddle made out of tolerance?
Thanks for looking.

Jim, I have Stellarvue M1 and M2 mounts -- both use the TD2 -- and have mounted vixen rails from different manufacturers with no problems.
Good luck sorting it out.

Yeah, I think the two "vixen" dovetails I tried (Astrotech 7" Short universal dovetail and Scopestuff L5DB are a little narrow, however I tried a Scopestuff EQD6 solid aluminum dovetail bar and it held fine.
So, not all "vixen" type dovetails are built alike, but some vixen saddles are more accommodating than others.
