I checked 5 of my top dealers beginning with Astronomics can't find it listed? Do they call it something besides Planetary Filter?

You expected a cheap filter from TeleVue?
I'm very interested to see what this filter does when they come in.

Marketing words are fine, but I need a nominal filter transmission plot to understand what the filter does. If I don't know what it does specifically, I won't buy...

Any chance of getting a nominal filter transmission plot for this or any other Televue filter? I could not easily find any at Televue.com

Good idea.
I post transmission charts for Lumicon and Baader, but TeleVue doesn't have similar charts for their filters.

+1 on publishing a transmission spectrum. I would never, ever consider buying a premium filter without seeing a spectrum first.

I could not find similar info about the Mars B filter.

Harder to reverse engineer a filter w/o a plot.
Also harder to patent, but Televue doesn't seem to care about protecting themselves with patents.

Since the Mars filters come only in 1.25", and it is planets we're talking about, the likelihood is that nearly every eyepiece used for observing the planets is probably going to be 1.25", and HIGH power, so I doubt you'll see the filter in 2". There aren't many 2" eyepieces with focal lengths under 17mm, and most scopes use 2mm to 11mm for planetary observations.
Plus, many high power eyepieces that have 1.25" centers with 2" skirts accept 1.25" filters.

They do make the nebula filters in 2", though, since those are usually used at LOW powers.

HHHUUUUUMMMMM........... delicious, why does Televue keep doing this to us? I guess to stay in business. More detailed post under eyepieces. Look at the up side, they only cost as much as their plossls. Another must have?
