There is one on A-mart now, 25k. Just amazing the technology that is available for amateurs to wield nowadays.
Could anyone 50-60 years ago ever imagine these sorts of mirrors being available commercially? Or 30-40 years ago? Just mind boggling!
If I was to win the lotto, I would immediately make the call to give them a heads up that I would soon be putting money down on a meter-plus sized one, and start planning a home built around a massive observatory centerpiece with a special computerized balcony/catwalk that tracks together with the scope, raising alongside and revolving around it, before even purchasing any land yet (I would also have a dedicated wing with a Zeiss planetarium, of course!)... hey, it's free to dream!

That scope has a projected focal length of 175,000mm.
Let's see, that yields a true field, using a 56mm Plossl, of 0.9 arc-minute.
And a magnification of 3125X
Nope, not workable.
Now a 10" diameter eyepiece of 500mm focal length yields a true field of 4.9' and a magnification of 350X
Nope, that doesn't work either.
How about a 20" diameter eyepiece of 1000mm focal length?
175X with a true field of 9.8'
Still a no go.
Face it, some telescopes would just be too big, no matter how much aperture fever you have.

The OWL went the same was as the 50inch Orion/Fullum dobs. In other words, you don't need to win any lotteries!

But you could look into the eyepieces with both eyes. Maybe two people could share the view.

I think the Mike Clements 70" reflector has hit the limit (see 70" scope). For my 5 mm pupils, the lowest magnification that would capture all the light is about 350x. The highest magnification that I usually use, given the limitations imposed by the atmosphere, is...350x. So I would only need one eyepiece if I had that scope!
