For the Hyperion gurus, can I expect the same performance in the 24mm EP in terms of clarity throughout the FOV?
My birthday is coming soon and my little Jeanne d'Arc thinks I need something more than just another package of underwear.

Peter - Nice collection. What kind of case is that?
Thanks Ben,
Same as Dan's I think. We call them Flight cases.

They come in large and small. I have both but the one in the picture is the large. I sourced mine second hand through ebay and paid £10 (which included postage) for it. Like Dan, I bought the foam and cut it to size with a craft knife.
Regards. Peter.

Hi Eddie:
Mine seems to be the same quality as the others in the lineup.
You may notice it's not in my case, but that's just because it's part of my grab and go kit. For me, grab and go means a smaller scope with a 1.25" diagonal, so I use a Hyperion Zoom, a 2x barlow, and the 24mm Hyperion. I know the zoom goes to 24mm, but the field is pretty narrow, so I got the 24mm/68°AFOV Hyperion to cover the widest possible view with a 1.25" optical path.

Dan, that is nice organised case. I think I might have to make a run to HF
By the way, if you need to do circular holes, this is the tip I used: http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php/Number/2830238/

As I have noted several times I won a Orion 17 mm Stratus years ago the EARNED its way into my eyepiece case when it sits with my Pentax XW's an Panoptics... it honestly is 90 to 95 percent as good optically in my Scts as the others which sell for 3 ties as much..
As for cases... I use ones (actually 3 of them) that were sold by Lowes for like 20 bucks..came with foam also... been like 10-15 years ago and they are still as good as new..

I second your comment about how moving to better glass was a huge improvement. Most used eyepiece in my kit. Just got a 24 for wider views.
