There’s always room for improvement. Yeah, it's a tad noisier than I'd like. That seems to be coming from trying to lift detail above the skyglow as this essentially is a form of clipping. It is not as harsh as true clipping, but it still gives a noisy image. I'm tempted to try taking luminance data with my monochrome CCD and borrow the color data from this image.
