Hi Rex;
Glad to have ya...I have always been happy with the fact that Cloudy Nights is a moderated site. Don't have to put up with 12 year olds trying to start fights and other unsavory behavior. It does keep the conversation more friendly.

Welcome.
I am Kraus. I got hooked on this hobby in 1984. Bought a cheap 60mm at the local duty-free store. Took it out that night. Looked at a 'star'. It had a funny shape to it. Upped the maginification and wow oh wow, it was Saturn. Not such a cheap scope afterall eh.

Yes, lots of lights around OKC. I couldn't believe how dark the skies are at my in-laws house in Alva. They live in a green-blue zone.
