Scripting on Maxim DL anyone?
      #5745219 - 03/20/13 02:03 PM

Anyone want to tell about scripting. I'm basically a maxim user without knowledge of how easy or difficult scripting is.
I'll appreciate your input and knowledge.

I would start here:
http://www.cyanogen.com/help/maximdl/Scripting.htm

and here.

http://www.cyanogen.com/maxim_extras.php

Look at the scripts and begin trying to understand what each line does.

Thanks Marcus,

I would like to see a sample video of this topic or something more interactive, I'm not the best computer guy, but want to master maxim.

Is there a software that can write a script for maxim, I mean something simplified that I just fill some blanks and save it or I just need to fill all the code as the sample?

Also Ron Wodaski (New CCD Astronomy) has a comprehensive list of scripting objects

Try SGP bro . It takes the place of MaximDL, pinpoint, AND CCDAP.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

You're right SGP do it too. But believe me, maxim in very superior.
If maxim script become difficult then I'll try SGP.
