      #5748046 - 03/21/13 05:09 PM

Group,
Al Nagler will give a lecture at the AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY April 5 th.
Al will cover how his childhood interest from a visit to the Hayden Planetarium lead to telescope making, a career in optics including designing the visual simulator to train the astronauts for lunar landing (a "giant eyepiece" covering the LEM spacecraft cabin), his experiences at events such as Stellafane, starting Tele Vue Optics and presenting the paths of telescope and eyepiece product development over the last 30+ years at Tele Vue.

Is there any way that this can be broadcast live (internet) or taped so that those that can't make it will have a chance to see it?

It would be a shame if it was not.

Maybe on a Neil deGrasse Tyson podcast? It's a pretty long drive for those of us in the blue zone.

Having heard Al Nagler speak, I have no doubt it will be a very interesting lecture.

Considering the ‘big bucks’ he asks for speaking, he would probably want $5,000 for a pod-cast….. or at least a membership in the AMNH.

To be clear, you must be referring to Neil DeGrasse Tyson speaking fees, not to Al Nagler who was the original topic?
