I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about these Itorex filters. These were in a eyepiece case i got in a recent telescope and accessories package deal.
The seller had a original invoice where he had purchased these from Meade in December 1981.
The filters dont have any threads, are 1 5/8" diameter.
Were these some kind of drop in filter ?
Appreciate any info that can be provided..

I believe that the back end of all SCT's have a recessed area to hold series 6 filters. I have never used them, but this allows one to attach the filter to the tail end of the SCT and then attach desired photo-visual accessories.

My circa 1983 Meade SCT has it and Meade sold these filters as well.

Thanks! Nightfly, that makes sense then since the guy was into imaging with a 8" SCT.
