got the nikon 8x40 extreme in ,i gave it almost the same review as the 10x50's. best buy, a little on the heavy side but built very solid bomb proof.collimation looked good on both models.very nice 3 position twist up eye cups and waterpoof. sharp optics for a wide field.adorama has the best price on these for now 119.95 regards john cota

another mod. best buy, bobwards on ebay has posted several pentax pcf V 8x40's new in the box, i have been tracking them and the bid prices have stayed around 55 to 65.00 best buy for under 75.00. regards john cota

Thanks for the tip. Sounds like a very good price for the PCF V.
You may want to remove the reference to *Bay in your Astromart post. You wouldn't want to incur the wrath of the Admin. ;-))
