VX Issues-Suggestion
      #5759310 - 03/26/13 10:25 PM

Folks;
Similar to new computers I have purchased in the past, when I received my new VX mount about 2 months ago, fired it up, & let it run for 48 hours, manually moving the new Tak 85 EDX, & then doing in between several simulateted alignments. All is well, love the mount, but IMO, like computers, if prone to failure, most likely, will happen early.
Just a Thought. Wish All the Best!
Jerry

The VX is not really a new mount. It is a refresh of a multi-decade old mount, actually, called the CG5, which in turn was a knock off of a decade old Vixen mount. And yes, like all things electronic it will fail...one day. Of course my first CG5-GT took 8 years to fail, and even then was repairable. Now it's serving a new master in New Mexico, likely on its next 8-year stint.
