AZEQ6 DEC vertical play
      #5759551 - 03/27/13 03:57 AM

Hello friends, excuse me for opening another thread in so short time, i thought i should open a new one due to the nature of the querry.

As the title states i have this DEC play in vertical when the DEC clutch is free and i move the RA Axis (in EQ mode) for more than 180 degrees.
In that case due to the gravity i see a slight vertical movement of the DEC axis for about 1-2mm.
If the Dec clutch is tightened up and the axis is not free, there is no movement at all in whatever position i move it.

Does anyone who has this mount saw a similar thing? Is it because of the different blocking meccanism?

Thank you in advance,

Maybe I'm not understanding the problem, but if there is no movement with the axis locked, I don't see that there's a problem...

Hi Rod,i was just wondering if it's normal as i've never had this kind of movement on my cg5.
Yes witht he axis locked nothing moves.

PS:I 've just checked also the RA axis, i guess is pretty normal ,it happens the same thing.
