Any image/sighting of Tobias Mayer A in sunrise?
      #5762679 - 03/28/13 04:33 PM

Several nights ago after looking comet L4 Panstarrs I directed the scope (90/621 refractor) to the Moon and with some 60x in Montes Carpatus' terminator area I could see a marvelous circle of a crater lit in very whitish hue with two lines outside just like the symbol for diameter () but without inside line.

I think that was a night after Copernico's dawn in the lunation.

Has somebody imaged this crater in this very moment or looked at it?

Looking up the Rkl Atlas I think the crater is Tobias Mayer A (plates 19-20 ) but I'm not sure. Reminded me another unique and special features like the Lunar "V" or "X".

Thanks.
