Please!! Interpupillary Distance of binoviwers... new
      #5764165 - 03/29/13 10:39 AM

Hello everyone in the forum!!

Please, I need to know the "Interpupillary Distance" of binoviwers.
I searched the net and catalogs and only found these:
Orion 53m to 74m
Denkmeier 75mm to 48m
Does it have any binoviewer with distance greater than these?
Can someone answer me the distance from Earthwin?
I ask here because it is one of the best sites on the net astronomy equipment.

Thnks.

The Earthwin is about the same as a Denkmeier. Interpupillary distance isn't the only issue, though. Depending on what eyepieces are used, "nose relief" may be an issue even if you have "average" IPD between your eyes. I of course don't know from your post why this is being asked. Tim

I measured the Baader MaxBright at 60 to 73 mm give or take 1 mm.

The Baader Mark V adjusts all the way to 76mm. I know, because my IPD is 75.5mm and I can use them!

next time you are at the mall stop in the Eyeglass place and ask them to take your PD..
It takes a second and is usually free (ask)
