Tell me about the Nebraska Star Party's Swap Meet
      #5783021 - 04/07/13 01:44 AM

My stargazing buddy and I are planning on attending our first NE Star Party this August and may haul some stuff to the swap meet with the intent of NOT bringing it home. How big is the swap meet? How many people attend it?
I'd like to take stuff that is too big to ship. Will this work?

Generally, the swap meet isn't exactly huge, but we have had anywhere from 10 to 30 people there depending on the attendance at the star party itself. On Wednesday mid-week, we set up a number of tables in the main lobby of the Valentine High School not far from the vendors area and outside the auditorium where the formal programs are being presented, and we have had people selling everything from a single eyepiece to a 12 inch scope there. Clear skies to you.

Thank you for the prompt response. Hope to see you there in the Promised Land. (I'm a native Nebraskan transplanted to Minnesota.)
