Done with my 18" (Zambuto) Starmaster and the ASI120MM camera, stack of 500 (AS2) and PS CS2

OMG That's simply amazing!
Only 500 frames for the final image Mike? Your raw frames must be as good as my final images here!

Thanks Steve, Paul, Sean, Roberto and Paul M!

Roberto, I've been using anywhere from 300-500 frames and it seems to be enough given the gain of around 8-14. During the best seeing that I've had here I could stack about 50% of the video sequence. With this new ASI cam that could be up to 1600 frames, but after experimenting a bit it seems only very fine tonal qualities in the smooth maria are brought out more when large stack sizes are used. But sure if the seeings excellent might as well use as many frames as possible!

cheers

Mike
