M105, NGC 3389, & NGC 3384 - A different Leo Trio new
      #5787040 - 04/08/13 10:25 PM

While I find that elliptical and lenticular galaxies don't always make for the most exciting images, I couldn't resist capturing this FOV. The background spiral galaxy, NGC 3389 has some very nice details, and the field holds a nice collection of tiny background galaxies:

High Resolution version and more image information available at http://www.astronomersdoitinthedark.com/index.php?c=113&p=492.

This image was made from a stack of 130 x 5 minute subs (just under 11 hours) taken through an orange tube Celestron C-8 equipped with a Celestron focal reducer at f/5.8 (1160mm) and a Gary Honis modified Canon 450D (Baader mod). Guiding was with an ONAG On-axis guider, Lodestar autoguider, and Phd Guiding.

Thanks for looking!

Something different here Scott and I like the pairing , some sharp details in the upper galaxy even at this scale.
