Yeah...seems like it would be hard to do 10,000 in 4 years. I've been on here since 05...took a little break in between there during having my 2 kids. Still, I'm only at 1600ish. Wow.

I was also an Moderator for several forums, that really adds to your count. For example I was a moderator on Refractors that was a lot of comments/posts. I did the calculation and I did something like 7 posts a day.

Junk... really?

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your context.

That was in Bad:

"The Bad (some of the below, may not be true, you will have to decide for yourself): "

Of course its not true, but some people actually posted that.

I've heard everything from an AP refractor will show more than a 16" Reflector, to only TeleVue eyepieces are good.

Can't help but wonder how many bosses and/or spouses drop in on such a thread, read such a proclamation ("Yippee- 10,000 post count! ), and immediately see red.... leading to demotions, firings, or horrendous money-do lists!

Congrats. Your list of things you learned was fun to read, but what you really need is the list of what you forgot.

10,000 posts wow...I like #16 in your good list. Sometimes find it a bit intimidating how intelligent and articulate some CNers are....but very much appreciate the knowledge shared freely here. Keep the posts coming!

Helder:

Congrats! I remember you when you were a newbie; have seen you grow, and your enthusiasm is as wonderful today as it was back then.

Glad to have you as a friend.

Congrat's as well!! Looks like you learned quite a bit reaching your 10,000 posts. Good info to pass on to those just starting the hobby and reminders for those of us that forget. Thanks and keep observing.
