I discovered I did not like dragging out a PC, frame grabber, etc. Using a simple video monitor is more than adequate (actually better image-wise to many people) and a heck of a lot faster. There do seem to be alot of moving parts, and there does need to be a quick start guide or Video Astronomy for Idiots book. But once you get all the parts in hand it becomes alot easier to understand and not so intimidating. Good luck!

UPDATE:

I finally pulled the trigger a couple months ago and ordered the Xtreme 2 with HAD chip. According to FedEx it should be delivered today (Thanks, Jack)!

I probably don't even need to say this but OF COURSE the forecast for the next week is cloudy and showers. Sooo...I think I've read on here about using/calibrating the cameras during the day to get a feel for them, can anyone point me in the direction of a thread that explains this? Anything to watch out for?

Gracias!
Tom
