Can't get near the Zenith with AT Voyager mount new
      #5809373 - 04/19/13 07:33 PM

Hi Everyone:

I just mounted an Orion 100ED refractor on a Astro Tech Voyager mount. Taking it outside this afternoon I find that I can only get the scope to move within about 30 degrees of the zenith. Is there a fix for this problem, or must I just live with it? I am used to using a Dobsonian mount and having some awkwardness at the zenith, Dobson's hole, but only getting within 30 degrees seems much more limiting.

Steve

Steve:

Voyagers can configured several different ways. You probably have the arm vertical, it needs to be angled back. There are some Allen screws that let you change that.

Steve:

Glad to hear that. One nice thing about the Voyager is that it you can configure it is several different ways to fits your needs.
