Looking for some 3/4" x 10 tpi J-bolts
      #5820098 - 04/24/13 03:51 PM

Looking for a supplier of some 3/4" diameter x 10 threads per inch J-bolts to anchor a pier in concrete. Length should be 8-12". Tried all of the usual places with no luck. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Get some 3/4 inch all-thread and cut and bend.
Gotta be cheaper than McMaster-Carr.

Check out the 3/4" x 12" stainless anchor bolt kit at Dan's Pier Plates:

http://www.pierplates.com/products.html#bolts34

Not cheap, but much less than McMaster Carr for stainless. Plus they come with the thin-profile nuts and both flat metal and flexible fiber washers. Purpose-designed for holding a mount onto a pier.

It is not 3/4 but you can get 5/8x11 stainless steel threaded rod from Home Depot for about $10 a 24" length. Best pricing I found anywhere.

Find a store that sells to concrete and framing contractors, like White Cap. Not Home Depot or Lowes.

I hammered over threaded straight rods for my pier. I just put them in the vise and hammered them over.
