Nexstar 11 not pointing accurately
      #5821073 - 04/24/13 11:24 PM

Hello. My Nexstar 11 lately is not pointing accurately, whether in alt-az or on the wedge. It is off in both axes by a few degrees quite often. I have checked to see that the motor mounts have no slop. Here is my question: Should the worms turn easily by hand when the motors are unattached? Or would this be considered too loose? I don't want to tighten things to the point that the motors are damaged. Right now the worm shafts turn easily by the use of a couple of fingers. Please advise if you have any ideas.

Thanks,

Richard
