PanSTARRS 18. + 19. April
      #5823522 - 04/26/13 02:23 AM Attachment (25 downloads)

hi all,

last week the moon stood high at the night sky, but I observed with my full tube 6" Dobson, so no moon light found a way at the mirrors.

18.April 2013, 20:40 UT
6" Dobson f/6, 42x

Bye Christian

and one night later :

19.April 2013, 20:45 UT
6" Dobson f/6, 42x

I measured the magnitude from PanSTARRS
in the two night by 6.6mag.

Bye Christian

Dear Christian,

W had sunny days here in Leipzig but the air was always hazy. And clouds after sunset. I never could detect Cassiopeis's main stars and therefore did not have a chance to see PanSTARRS. Still waiting...

Very nice, Christian! Actually you've got a lot not guts than I have because with the moon so bright I didn't even bother to have a go at the comet. Well done!

Peter

Nice work. Glad you posted. I only saw it once low in the sky. Beautiful!
