Moon Occults Pluto & Astraea - 4/30 & 5/1
      #5824218 - 04/26/13 11:46 AM

The Moon will occult the minor planets 134340 Pluto and 5 Astraea on 2013 APR 30 and MAY 01 respectively, as seen during early mornings from portions of North America. These occultations may be simply of academic interest since the objects are rather dim, especially Pluto. Nevertheless, I offer the challenges for those who want to give them a try. I provide related graphics and data on my occultations webpage at: www.CurtRenz.com/occultations

If anyone is successful, photos and descriptions of the occultations would be welcome additions to this thread.
