Stuck in Boot Mode new
      #5827391 - 04/27/13 10:05 PM

I received a no response 16 error on my 8SE ( which I just purchased) and per I am attempting to reload my MC firmware. Alt is fine, but AZM is stuck in boot mode and the MCupdate reads mode/version: unknown. When I attempt to program the AZM I receive a warning "motor control unknown".

So it appears I cannot program the AZM while in boot mode? Is there a way to knock it out of boot mode? This is really frustrating...any help would be appreciated, but I have a feeling I am going to be down until I talk to Celestron

Thanks folks

What version HC do you have and which program are you using to update with?

If you have the new Nexstar+ HC with the Celestron Logo button at the lower left, then you need to use the Celestron Firmware Manager (CFM) program to do the update and not the older version HCupdate program.
