Hi Bill,

Load recommendations are still being developed as experience with the Nova Hitch accumulates. Weight is not a good measure for capacity since it is moment-of-inertia that really counts. Currently, we know that a TEC 140 represents a very easy load for the Nova Hitch. The Nova will soon be tested with an A-P 155 -- and I think this scope will again prove to be well within the limits of the Nova Hitch.

The Nova Hitch will need a very sturdy tripod beneath it to match its tremendous rigidity. When you see a Nova Hitch in person, the tendency is to ask what it CAN'T hold rather than what it can hold. It is clearly a very rigid mount.

Charles

Okay, thanks for the information. What size SCT do you think it would be capable of managing? What is going to be the price of this new mount? Thanks..

Bill
