Need some help guys. My wife's uncle passed away a few months ago and he left me his 10" Starfinder. I want to use it but life and other hobbies don't leave any time for it right now. And, during the process of moving things after his passing, only certain parts of the kit remain. I have the tube with a case and the two counterweights for the base. Unfortunately, the base and eyepieces have been either given to Goodwill or thrown away --> I hope not, that'd be a huge waste of good optics. Anyways, I'd like to sell this scope to a good home that could keep it from collecting dust. I'd like to post in the classifieds like I did with my last scope, I just don't know what a fair price for it is.
Now that's just my personal opinion There was a meade starfinder number 77 Had a terrible focus However like I said the old meade optics and sonotube set up is great
We took his and changed to a roller bearing turn table
Optical tube only in pure stock form I'd pay $200 having looked thru it
If I hadn't looked thru it Here's my complaints Collimanation is difficult due to the position of the secondary mirror screws The old Teflon bearing on the dec and ra are horrible The cheap plastic focus
