Suk, is that one of the "flatter" marigolds, or one of the "fatter" ones with a bit more depth to them? It really doesn't matter all that much, I only ask because you've got the depth of field just about perfect in that shot, and I was curious how deep the in-focus area is in that picture...

Gotta love the way the color "pops", too. Nice complimentary colors there!

Hi Charlie:

It was probably about a half inch deep. I made sure the focal plane was parallel to the whole flower then stopped down a fair amount to extend the field of focus as much as possible.

Thanks!

Great image's from you all:) i esp like the flower macro shot's i will post some of mine once i can find them :).

Suk,

Thank's for that matey, i use a blanc piece of water colour paper and dabbed glue onto it then painted rain mark's. Scanned the paper(well photographed it) and opened up a new layer in photoshop added blur effect's to it and i am pleased i got the look i was looking for :). I am always messing about with finding new textures etc.

Regards

James :D

James

Your "ORION CAUGHT IN A STORM" image is AWESOME! Do you do this kind of graphics design professionally or is it just a hobby. That is really some outstanding stuff.

AJ, both shots you just posted are quite good. The cat shot is awesome! I hope you appreciate where you live! I would kill to be living on the coast of FL... The bridge shot sure brought back memories!

Echo,
I have a photo I'd like to post, but I'm not sure if there's an image size limit or not (and I presume it's one post per person).

thanks,

Carlos.

Charlie, about your "welcome home" picture: I was wondering, how do you get inside without hurting yourself? Or were you expecting a tax letter?
