another polar scope question

I have a cg5 and use it for just viewing so is a polar scope really needed. does people just look through the polar axis hole and roughly center Polaris. thanks, donnie

For visual. you can just look through the polar scope hole and center Polaris up with your elevation and azimuth controls.

For visual, I use the center hole to rough polar align. You don't need much more.
