Hello and Welcome. This new area is designed for submissions to the Reader's Galley. Please post all photo entries in the photo threads. We have separated the categories a bit differently to facilitate a better judging process. We kindly ask that you post any and all comments on the photo entries in the corresponding threads. For example, to comment on a solar photo, please write your post in the solar commentary thread. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Echo

Just a reminder, this forum is for the Monthly Reader's Gallery only, not individual's posts. There are other forums for posting your work...this area is for the contests only.
You will no longer be able to create new posts in this section, but you will be able to reply to an existing thread.

I would like to enter an animation, though it is a smaller version of the original, it is still 234Kb.
Is this too large?

The moderators of this forum have decided to increase the allowable file size limit to 100k within the Readers Gallery forum. In consideration of our dial-up users we still prefer 60k, but realize that some images will benefit from the larger file size. Please continue to follow the site wide image posting guidelines in regards to image size. Image size is restricted to a maximum size of 800x600 pixels.
Thanks for your continuing contributions to the Readers Gallery.

And, if we want to show an even bigger image, just place a link, correct?
Edit, nevermind. I didn't realize it was for contests...
