Samsung SDC-435 and live stacking
      #5851987 - 05/10/13 01:09 PM Attachment (42 downloads)

I use DeepSkyImaging for capture and have DeepSkyStacker Live 3.3.2 but hadn't tried stacking until last night. Following images are from that session. No processing other than using the slider function in DeepSkyStack Live program.

I also captured NGC 4631 but have placed those images in the
Astro Video Image Gallery.

Very cool. I have it installed but I have never used it. I may give it a try.

I have tried using DSS but was never sucessful. Exactly what steps did you take to stack the images. And do you have an exposure length which ALMOST shows the object or do you expose for the full time and then stack those images.

Those look really good Jim.
So far I am not having very good results with DSS.
My stacks look much, much worse than the single snapshots.

Jimmy, the exposure for these images was 4.2 sec (x256). I set DSI to capture every 4.5 seconds.
You can see in the stacked image that there is less noise and that my tracking was off - the top and bottom borders are rotated slightly.

Nice! I'm waiting for my NexImage 5 to show up to use first on my Televue Ranger with DSS Live, then with my Mewlon ...
