      #5867554 - 05/17/13 04:13 PM

Here's the sketch
[The view is from my Shrine Manon 60mm f700, with an old Sears(?) KE 22mm EP + old glass Moon Filter]

and a test print from a plate I'm making of it...
[Pics were too big to post, so used the links to them.]

Very interesting and impressive!! I am neither a sketcher or a printer, so how do you make prints from a plate and what is the medium?

Very cool indeed! I suppose that today you can print straight from the PC on a copper plate. I already inquired about this a few years ago when I wanted to put a copper plate on my scope. In any case, very nice work and I look forward to seeing the plate finished! Should look stunning!

Peter

Refasali, way to go!

I did some etching onto zinc plates when in high school. The process is involved, meticulous, painstaking, and just so intense for the artist to produce. Durer was a big influence on me growing up, and I am so happy to see a copper plate work presented here! There is such a feeling of the "Old School" lunar work with your piece.

Are you still working on it?

I particularly like the notes you wrote on the side of your sketch - "12:19, shooting star" Magic stuff!

Alex.
