orion 80 mm. triplet new

Hi...pulled trigger on orion cf 80 mm. Triplet for almost entirely visual. Astrophotos consist of point and shoot @orion steadypix doodad! Going to try and use my celestron 6 se mount. With mounting foot i figured this would work,anyhow. Will visual be satisfying..never looked through apo? Mag 4 skies? Thanks jim

You should really like it, a true Grab-n-go scope. I got mine mainly for white light solar viewing and after trying on my SE-4 mount, deceided to mount it along side my Lunt H-Alpha scope. You should be OK with the SE-6 mount, the SE-4 just couldn't handle the weight and was hard to balance without rotating.

No rings, that's the mounting foot. Another nice feature is the rotating focuser. The foot is in the SE mount slot and the focuser rotated.
